Weaving an Islander Network in Cancer Awareness, Research and Training (WINCART2)
In partnership with CSU Fullerton, Claremont Graduate University, Union of Pan Asian Communities, Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, Tongan Community Service Center, Samoan National Nurses Association, Pacific Islander Health Partnership

A 5 year study that explores community genetic research concerns and develops and evaluates a controlled intervention trial,  The aims are to:

• Develop, evaluate and disseminate best practices for intervening on the factors associated with cancer health disparities among Pacific Islanders;
• Facilitate training of Pacific Islanders and other postdoctoral and early stage investigators in all aspects of CBPR;
• Integrate community education, research and training to reduce cancer health disparities for Pacific Islanders in the U.S.
